2007 In Review

We have had a wonderful Holiday! We have enjoyed being together as a family - we have celebrated together and learned from each other. We are so thankful. Here are some highlights from 2007 (click on the links to read their original stories):

2007 marked the true development of the relationship between Lexi and Cate. When we found out at our 21 week ultrasound that we were having a girl, I cried, WITH JOY, that Lexi would have the gift of a sister and a pal, buddy, confidant, that I, an only girl in a family with two brothers never knew, but saw in my mom and her sisters and my cousins and their sisters. I was thrilled that Lexi and Cate would have that unique experience that would carry them as not only family members, but as friends. We have seen this develop over the year. It is a beautiful thing!

April 2007
Cate's Big Day
Cate was Dedicated at our church - Bangor Baptist - What a blessing she is and what a blessing to have a church stand behind us and support us as her parents.

May 2007We are constantly reminded of the 'surprises' we experience living in Maine - namely those revolving around the weather. The photos above were taken within a week of each other. In chronological order.

September 2007
A Four Star Weekend
This is just an example of the many adventures and fun we had all year - and one of the reasons why we've come to love calling Maine 'home'.

October 2007
Time Flies .....We had a visit from jay's family too!!

November 2007
Stones ... Hope ... and Life's Exciting Journey

Jay was contacted by a recruiter for the State of Minnesota in November. We prayed that God would open or close the door regarding the new job possibility and massive move our family would again have to do. This time, the door was closed. We didn't feel a loss - but a true gain, as we were assured that it truly was in the Lords hands. We are so thankful for answered prayer!

December 2007

December was full of festivity and family. What more could we ask for? I couldn't pick just one!!! :)

I'm so thankful for a wonderful year. It had it's ups and downs, but the things that make it in our blog truly reflects our lives - day in and day out. It's so much fun to share it with everyone. Most of all, it's a blessing to be able to look back at what we as a family have experienced in a year. Thank you Lord, for your faithfulness, your grace and your leading hand. Lead and guide us as a family through the upcoming year!
