If April showers bring may flowers, what do April snow storms bring?

It better bring something REALLY special!!! :)

We woke up to about 12 inches of snow this morning - and it's still snowing - HARD. I just came in from getting the mail, and the snow was just past my knees ... CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! Jason said he couldn't see over the hood of the Explorer when he was brushing it off - and he's 6'2". The forecast doesn't sound all that promising - an additional 5-8 inches during the day.

ALL of our snow was gone - so when you see the photos below - that is all fresh snow within that last 12 hours.

Once again, Lexi is not at all pleased. She is more than done with winter - and is convinced that Spring only lasts a week, and then goes right back to winter. Hopefully we will be able to convince her with lots of fun this summer! Until then, she and Cate are having some quality sister time - the snap below was taking in a show this morning while I made breakfast :).

Lexi also made a 'drum set' out of some boxes for Cate this morning .... sans the magazines that they contained for recylcling.

Hopefully I won't have any other 'exciting news regarding this eventful day - other than perhaps a few more photos. It's hard to believe that we were spending our first week as 'Mainers' just three years ago. Had it snowed like this our first week, I think I would have packed up our car and headed back to Minnesota!! :)
