A day of ups and downs

Mostly ups I'd say - but a series of booster shots for Lexi lent to a few tough moments today. Lexi had her four year check up this morning. She weighs 38.5 lbs, is 41 1/4 inches tall (both 75%) and won't see the tip of a booster needle again until she is 11!! :) Lexi did great. We have such a great pediatrician. Dr. Laurie is excellent and really takes time with Lexi. Shots aside, it was a good visit.

Lexi was the winner this morning in regards to mail. She received a great birthday package from Grandma and Grandpa Thyen and a care package from Grandma Mattson. She made a haul :). Lexi received her much wanted baby doll today and we celebrated a great doctor check up by going to Toys R Us to pick out a new baby outfit and other goodies to go with it. Lexi loves her 'baby' that cries, burps, makes eating sounds and giggles. She quickly emptied her baby cradle upstairs in her room and the baby pack and play downstairs for her baby. She also received a new train shed for her Thomas set and a really cool 'Birthday Train' to add to her collection. Cate and Lexi also got really cute t-shirts from Grandma and Grandpa T's trip to Alaska this summer and Jay and I got some goodies too :).

After a trip to McDonalds for lunch and time at the playland, the girls are a tad tired out from their day. Me too :).
